These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at theworldcup.gg and any related pages, tools, content, and community channels (together, the "Platform"), and your interaction with the $TWC token and the country tokens described on the Platform (together, the "Tokens"). By accessing the Platform or acquiring, holding, or transacting in any Token, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform or acquire any Token.
THE WORLD CUP is an independent, community-driven project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, authorised by, or endorsed by FIFA, any confederation or national football association, any tournament organiser, any broadcaster, or any national team, club, player, or sponsor.
Country names and three-letter codes are used solely as descriptive references to identify which nation a community token is themed around. All trademarks, names, emblems, and logos referenced anywhere remain the property of their respective owners. No claim of ownership or official connection is made or implied. We do not use, and have not been granted any rights to, any official emblem, mascot, trophy, or mark of any football body.
The Tokens are speculative digital collectibles ("memecoins") created and traded on third-party platforms (including pump.fun) on the Solana network. They are intended for entertainment, community participation, and cultural expression around the football calendar.
The Platform describes promotional reward pools that may be distributed to holders of qualifying country tokens at certain points in the football calendar. You should understand the following before participating:
The Platform does not offer, operate, or facilitate betting, wagering, lotteries, or gaming services, and does not accept stakes on the outcome of any match or event. Rewards are promotional distributions to token holders, not prizes won from a bet. You are responsible for ensuring that your participation is lawful in your jurisdiction. Where holding the Tokens or receiving distributions would be treated as gambling, an offer of a financial product, or otherwise be unlawful in your location, you must not participate.
By using the Platform you represent that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live), that you are acting on your own behalf, and that your use complies with all laws applicable to you. The Platform is not directed at, and must not be used by, any person in any jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful, including any jurisdiction in which the Tokens or distributions would constitute a regulated financial product, security, or gambling activity. You are solely responsible for determining whether your participation is permitted.
Crypto assets are extremely high risk. You acknowledge and accept that:
The Platform links to and relies on independent third-party services, including the Solana network, pump.fun, decentralised exchanges and routers (such as Jupiter), and self-custodial wallets. We do not own or control these services, do not guarantee their availability, security, or fee structures, and are not responsible for them. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
Where the Platform refers to a "treasury" or reward pool, those funds are held in one or more Solana wallets whose addresses may be published for transparency. As the project's team and signing arrangements evolve, control of those wallets may move to a multi-signature arrangement. On-chain balances are publicly verifiable, but we make no warranty as to future custody arrangements and accept no liability for loss of funds however caused.
Any roadmap, schedule, feature, drop date, or mechanic described on the Platform is an aspiration, not a promise, and may change, be delayed, or be abandoned at any time without notice. Dates tied to the football calendar depend on the real-world schedule, which is outside our control.
You are solely responsible for determining and paying any taxes that apply to your acquisition, holding, disposal, or receipt of Tokens or distributions. We do not provide tax advice.
Nothing on the Platform is financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, hold, or sell any Token. You should obtain your own independent professional advice before participating. Any decision you make is your own.
The Platform and the Tokens are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any information shown (including prices, pool sizes, or schedules) is accurate or current.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the project, its contributors, and its team will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind — including loss of funds, loss of profits, loss of tokens, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss — arising out of or in connection with the Platform, the Tokens, any pool or distribution, or these Terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such loss. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the maximum extent that law permits. Nothing in these Terms excludes any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the project and its contributors from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of the Platform, your dealings in the Tokens, or your breach of these Terms or of any law.
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Platform. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State, without limiting any non-excludable rights you may have under the law of your own place of residence.
